Bookkeeper

Position Overview
Scotford Fennessy, in partnership with one of Perth’s leading accounting firms, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their dynamic virtual CFO service team. This opportunity is perfect for a motivated professional with public practice experience who is keen to broaden their expertise across a variety of bookkeeping and financial support functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive payroll support for clients, including processing and troubleshooting payroll queries.
• Manage bookkeeping tasks such as data processing, invoicing, and reconciliations for both domestic and international clients.
• Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) in compliance with Australian regulations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using Xero.
• Collaborate with the virtual CFO team to support various client needs and ensure high-quality service delivery.

Requirements

• Experience in public practice is essential.
• A business degree or similar qualification (ideal for individuals who prefer not to pursue a tax accounting career).
• Proven experience in payroll support is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Xero is required; certification is a plus.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices, with the ability to manage both domestic and international operations.
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
