Our client is seeking a Contracts and Procurement Officer to join their team in a six-month contract basis with high potential to became permanent after this period of time. 

This opportunity will provide support to the Contract and Procurement team, ensuring the accuracy and management of vendor data, contract administration, reporting and dealing within the entire business. This mining company is well-known for their focus on strong organisational culture, low staff turnover and flexibility with their daily routine with a possibility to work from home once per week.

Key duties: 

  • Oversee the entry, validation, and maintenance of vendor data in the supplier management system to ensure compliance and data accuracy.
  • Support contract lifecycle management, including pre-award and post-award activities, documentation control, and processing of commercial documents.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., procurement, finance) and vendors to streamline onboarding and contract management, facilitating productive partnerships.
  • Develop and update procedures, checklists, and workflow documentation for vendor and contract management, promoting continuous improvement.
  • Identify, monitor, and address risks associated with vendor data and contract discrepancies.
  • Generate and distribute regular reports and analysis on C&P data, highlighting key metrics and trends.

Requirements: 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of commercial and contract documentation processes.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong commitment to safety and the environment.

Desirable knowledge: 

  • Intermediate Excel 
  • Contact with Power BI
