Electrical Designer

A prominent engineering consultancy well-known to WA are looking for a new member to join the electrical team in the CBD. 

About the opportunity
Reporting to Electrical lead and liaising with other senior electrical designers for project coordination. As you would expect, day to day matters will include electrical design and planning for land subdivision. Duties include:

• Transformer and switchgears
• Provision of lot points of supply for subdivision
• Efficient electrical reticulation and network for subdivision
• Calculation of cable and transformer limitations for the network
• Streetlighting
• Coordinating design with other disciplines
• Able to adapt/modify designs as required

About you
You are a relevantly experienced Electrical Designer familiar with Australian codes and standards. You are knowledgeable on your craft, and a team player who enjoys working with others in a truly collaborative environment. 

• Apply critical thinking in order to find suitable outcome. 
• MicroStation (V8i or Connect Edition)
• Advance Diploma in Electrical design/engineering or higher qualification
• Min 2 years’ experience in Electrical land development design

‘Nice to have’

• Substation earthing assessment and design
• Fluent in use of Agi32 lighting design software.
