About the Role:
A leading mining contractor is seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Superintendent to oversee the maintenance of a mobile fleet supporting mining and haulage operations in North West Queensland.

About You:
- Minimum 5 years’ leadership experience in maintenance roles within mining or heavy industries.
- Certificate III or higher in Engineering (Maintenance/Fixed or Mobile Plant Mechanic).
- ICAM training, S123 certification, and a valid driver’s license.
- Proficient in MS Windows suite; experience with Baseplan (desirable).
- Trade Background and Project Management experience highly desired
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety & Compliance:
- Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits.
- Implement and uphold workplace safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Lead safety initiatives, including JSEA implementation and toolbox meetings.
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Coach, mentor, and develop a collaborative team culture.
- Oversee team performance and ensure operational goals are met.
- Maintenance Operations:
- Manage the maintenance of mobile plant and equipment, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
- Develop and implement short- and long-term maintenance programs.
- Maintain accurate records of plant servicing and compliance.
- Cost Management & Planning:
- Monitor and control maintenance budgets and resources.
- Use cost control data to forecast and plan effectively.
- Stakeholder & Subcontractor Management:
- Manage subcontractor agreements and ensure safety and quality compliance.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve project success.
