Position Summary

The role of a Recruitment Consultant is to provide specialist professional recruitment and consulting services across our established and emerging clientele who are among Australia’s largest and most respected employers in the mining, construction, engineering, and oil & gas industries. 
The success of the role will come from developing and maintaining key client relationships while building solid recruitment strategies to find, attract and hire the right talent effectively and efficiently.  This is achieved through a combination of innovation, compliance to professional standards and taking pride in delivering Scotford Fennessy’s superior quality recruitment services, maintaining long-term partnerships with our clients and fostering a supportive and inclusive team culture. 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Engagement:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their hiring needs and provide tailored recruitment solutions.
  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and regular updates to ensure alignment between client expectations and recruitment outcomes.
  • Identifying revenue opportunities while maximising business growth to enhance financial performance.
  1. Candidate Sourcing and Assessment:
  • Utilise various sourcing methods to identify and attract high-caliber candidates.
  • Conduct thorough candidate assessments, including interviews, reference checks, and skills evaluations, to ensure the best fit for both clients and candidates.
  1. Market Research:
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market changes, and competitor activities to provide strategic insights and recommendations to clients.
  • Analyse and interpret recruitment data to identify areas for improvement and innovation.
  1. Team Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with internal teams to share market intelligence, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior consultants, fostering their professional development.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven recruitment experience, ideally within an agency setting.
  • Experience in developing strong client relationships.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing abilities.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding recruitment targets.
  • Willingness to support and develop junior/inexperienced recruiters.
  • Motivated to lead a prosperous high, performing desk.
  • Driven to build and identify revenue opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-driven with a passion for achieving success.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Adaptability to navigate and thrive in a dynamic and evolving industry.
