We are recruiting for a Senior Tax Advisor on behalf of our client, a prestigious accounting practice. The successful candidate will provide expert tax advice and support to a diverse client base, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and optimizing the firm’s tax strategies.

This full-time position is well-suited for individuals with experience in a Big 4 legal team or tax lawyers seeking a role within a firm that emphasizes work-life balance and a more relaxed professional environment.

The Role: 

  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and submission of tax returns, including corporate income tax, VAT/GST, withholding tax, and other applicable taxes.
  • Assist in preparing tax provisions and related disclosures for financial statements.
  • Develop tax-efficient strategies for corporate structuring, financing, and operations to support company initiatives while minimizing tax risks.
  • Advise on the tax implications of cross-border transactions, including transfer pricing, tax treaties, and international tax compliance risks.
  • Identify, assess, and manage tax risks, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations as well as internal policies.
  • Support tax due diligence and the structuring of acquisitions and joint ventures.
  • Liaise with tax authorities across various jurisdictions.
  • Maintain accurate records of tax advice, transactions, and correspondence for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Stay informed of changes in tax laws and regulations, particularly in the Energy sector. 

Desired requirements: 

  • Corporate/International Tax/Large Private Group background or experience
  • 3-7 years experience 
  • Bachelors of laws qualification or similar 
  • Extensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with expertise in corporate tax, indirect tax (VAT/GST), transfer pricing, and cross-border tax matters.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of interpreting complex tax issues and delivering effective solutions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of and dedication to ethical tax practices, ensuring full compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
