Our client is a well-established base metals producer looking for an experienced Mine Operations Superintendent to join their large operation in the northern goldfields region of WA. The company has recently invested in a brand new fleet and Fleet management system.
About the role:
The main purpose of this role is to ensure production targets are delivered within set timeframes and in accordance with the mine plan and safety legislations. You will be responsible for coaching and mentoring of the Supervisors and ensure an open flow communication between the mining production team and other departments. You will oversee the workforce management through the hiring process, development and performance. Furthermore, you will be responsible for continuous business improvement prioritize improvement opportunities.
About you:
This role would be suited to a motivated mining professional who is committed to driving industry best practices. You will have a strong technical background and proven ability to lead teams to achieve production targets.
Role Requirements:
- A WA Unrestricted Quarry Managers Certificate of Competency
- Tertiary degree in Mining Engineering
- ICAM investigation experience
- A proven ability to lead a large workforce including contract management.
- A strong understanding of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act.
