Our client is a well-established producer currently seeking an Underground Mining Engineer to support short-term production targets and mine growth projects.

This role focuses on stope design, drill and blast, development, and short-term scheduling, while also providing exposure to broader underground operations. Working within a high-performance, close-knit team, adaptability and motivation are key to success.

This is a contract opportunity on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop drill and blast designs to meet production requirements.
  • Work closely with operators in the field to ensure accurate execution of designs.
  • Minimize dilution while considering geotechnical and geological factors for safe and stable stopes.
  • Track and maintain drill stocks and production plans in advance of operations.
  • Deliver reports, plans, designs, and schedules accurately and on time.
  • Conduct safety and ventilation monitoring as required.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering.
  • Underground mining experience, with knowledge of mine design (development & production).
  • Experience using mining software for drill and blast design (Deswik preferred).
  • Understanding of mining legislation and its practical application.
  • A WA C-Class driver’s license (manual) and ability to obtain a National Police Clearance.
